Italian side Inter Milan are upset over what they feel was a 'mistake' in letting Philippe Coutinho leave the club and prosper at Liverpool.
Brazilian playmaker Coutinho arrived at the San Siro back in 2010 after completing a £4m move from Vasco da Gama but the Italian club decided to loan him out giving his tender age as reason.
A spell in Spain with Espanyol where he produced some impressive displays under now Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino saw him return in 2012 but after making just 10 league appearances, he was once again loaned out Liverpool.
Then a year later, the Premier League side made a permanent move for Coutinho which would see him go on to eventually prove himself to be one of the most gifted footballers in England this season.
That has left a sour taste in the mouth of Inter officials, who are questionning their historic failures in failing to trust and nurture talent.
The club famously let Roberto Carlos leave after one season in 1995 for him to go on and win countless trophies with Real Madrid.
